Dr. Wood was born and raised in Blue Ridge, Georgia. She attended the University of Georgia and obtained degrees in Cellular Biology and Psychology before later attending Mercer University for medical school. She completed her Internal Medicine residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Her interests include preventative care, high-value care, and geriatrics. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her fiancé David and her new puppy Murph! She also enjoys art history, baking, and watching Georgia football.
