Complete Health Appoints Chief Medical Officer

Private primary care group continues rapid growth to better serve its patients

JACKSONVILLE, Fla., Oct. 2, 2020 – Complete Health, one of the Southeast’s fastest growing privately-owned primary care groups, announces it has appointed a chief medical officer to oversee the delivery of quality care for all practices. Dr. John Farley, MD was appointed to the role in July.

Complete Health is privately-owned and now has 14 practice locations and more than 70 providers in Florida and Alabama. It is expanding, as additional private practices join the group in 2020.

“It is critical to our patients that we continue to focus on quality, value-based care,” said Jeff Preuss, CEO of Complete Health. “Dr. Farley is going to guide and manage all our programs to help our staff provide the excellent care that our patients expect and deserve.”

Dr. John Farley, MD, is a fourth-generation board-certified physician who has practiced for more than 20 years. As chief medical officer at Complete Health, Dr. Farley is responsible for medical quality, outcomes and resource utilization for clinical staff and programs. He manages a group of more than 70 physicians and advanced practice providers who provide value-based patient care in privately-owned primary care offices across the Southeast.

Dr. Farley founded Birmingham Internal Medicine Associates (BIMA), one of the area’s largest and most respected primary care groups. BIMA joined Complete Health in 2019 and became the flagship of its Alabama practices. In addition to being president of Birmingham Internal Medicine Associates, Dr. Farley also previously served as chief medical officer for the primary care clinics of Ascension/St. Vincent’s Birmingham, and chairman of the board for the Ascension/St. Vincent’s Birmingham Physician Alliance. Dr. Farley earned his MD at the Medical College of Georgia and completed residency and internship with the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Dr. Farley is board-certified in both internal medicine as well as palliative care.

“I’m proud to continue to serve my patients while enhancing the Complete Health practice model across the entire organization,” said Dr. Farley. “Providing quality, patient-centered care has always been my focus and it is crucial that we continue to provide it in all Complete Health practices as we continue to grow. I look forward to leading that charge.”

Complete Health is a physician-driven, professionally managed, technology-enabled primary care group delivering excellent quality support services and patient health outcomes. The group based in Florida has practices in metro-Birmingham, Alabama and metro-Daytona, Florida, with growth plans across the Southeast. Complete Health builds on existing practices to embrace value-based care concepts, reduce physician administrative burden, and focus on patient care and quality outcomes – all while lowering the total cost of care.
