Complete Health Appoints Chief Physician for Metro Daytona

Expanding primary care group focuses on value-based primary care

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla., June 29, 2021 – Complete Health announces its first-ever chief physician of the Metro Daytona region. Dr. Stephen Giorgianni, D.O., has been named chief physician overseeing Complete Health’s seven primary care locations across Volusia County. Dr. Giorgianni also practices osteopathic medicine and primary care at Complete Health Edgewater.

As chief physician, Dr. Giorgianni will oversee all physicians, advanced practice providers, and care teams across the Metro Daytona area. This includes seven primary care practices with more than 20 health care providers. Dr. Giorgianni also oversees all the growing group’s patient-focused quality care programs and is responsible for ensuring the highest quality, value-focused care across the market.

Giorgianni joined Complete Health after most recently serving as medical director and practicing physician for a seven-office primary care group in Melbourne, Florida. The group included primary care, wellness, senior care, family home health and skilled nursing centers. He managed the private group for more than five years while focusing on reducing patients returning to hospitals, lowering the length of hospital stays and dramatically reduced patient readmission rates in the practice from 25 percent to 2.1 percent. This multi-disciplined care group serves more than 5,000 patients annually with physicians, nurse practitioners and ancillary providers.

Giorgianni is a graduate of Nova Southeastern University Medical School and has been practicing medicine since 2009. He completed residency in family practice and osteopathic manipulative therapy at Largo Medical Center (Largo, Florida) and is board certified by the American College of Osteopathic physicians.
